The role of the Parents Association is to act as a representative for parents and from time to time fundraise for school activities and is made up entirely of parents. There are three committee members Catherine Stack (Chairperson), Joanne Carmody (Secretary) and Laura Gumbo (Treasurer) with Eilin Pierse acting as Assistant Chairperson. These committee members are responsible for all organisational, communication and financial matters for the Parent Association.
The Parent’s Association meets several times a year to discuss any issues raised by parents or the school, deal with any correspondence received or to organise any fundraising events when needed; these meetings are attended by other parents along with the committee members. The Parent Association also helps out in the school when requested e.g. at Open Day/Panto etc.
All parents are welcome to attend meetings, it is a great way to meet other parents and we would encourage parents to come along at any time. A notice with details of the meeting time and place is sent by the school via text and is also posted on the school’s Facebook page.
